Lohri Celebrations at the Nest Preschool!

On 13th January, Nestians celebrated the festival of Lohri across all the branches of Nest Preschool. The major attraction was the bonfire organised in the school premises. The children danced around the bonfire singing the Lohri song,’Sundriye, Mundriye, hoye’ with much gusto.

hey were gifted sweets and popcorn after the activities. The teachers narrated the stories of Makar Sakranti and Lohri to teach the little ones, the significance of yet another Indian festival. The infectious energy of the students led to the parents joining in the celebrations.

Nest school receives much appreciation from parents for the way we celebrate our festivals to teach children what our values are and how we can imbibe them in our daily lives. Festivals are an integral part of Indian culture and we look forward to more such celebrations with parents and students.

Fun Day at the Nest!

We give equal importance to reading, writing, speaking and other communication skills. But what sets our school apart from the rest of the educational institutions is the diligence with which we plan our own extra-curricular activities. One such event was recently organized by the Nest Group of schools. Our annual picnic was held on 17th December, a fun day much awaited both by students and staff. This year it was planned at the Club Patio on South city 2.

The day started off with kids assembling in school at 9 in the morning. The drive to the picnic spot was pleasant and the children sang songs on the way. Their excitement knew no bounds when they entered the lush green lawns decorated with balloons, bouncy and a toy train ready to chug them away on a wonderful ride. Scrumptious pizzas and fruit juices were served for breakfast. After long hours of playing games like tug of war, jumping, skipping, they sat down to a meal of their favourite Channa bhatura and noodles, watered down with fresh juice. But all good things come to an end and the picnic did too, though the kids didn’t want to go back just yet! After gentle promises of more such events in the future, we drove back to school for the kids to be taken home.
